The BSc Computational Finance and Financial Technology major offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers state-of-the-art training in finance, mathematics, statistics and computer programming. Students can choose from one of the two streams, Computational Finance Stream or Financial Technology Stream to develop this expertise and career interests. The Computational Finance Stream has a stronger emphasis on quantitative finance, while the Financial Technology Stream has a stronger emphasis on FinTech.
All streams in this major provide comprehensive training and internship opportunities to prepare students for careers in asset management, investment banking, risk management and FinTech. Many graduates have found high-paying jobs in the industry or have been admitted by top universities for graduate studies.
Students can apply for admission to the Joint Bachelor's Degree Program between City University of Hong Kong and Columbia University.
