Why choose Global Business?
Global Exposure
One of the key characteristics of global business is to allow students to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of different cultures and ways of life. The content of the coursework exposes students to business practices, cultures, and environments around the world. One unique feature of the programme is our collaboration with world-renowned universities such as the MIT Data Science Lab and the Harvard Summer School allowing students to study in their Summer Programme. Top performing students may receive GBU exclusive full sponsorship for their studies at these programmes. Moreover, many courses require group projects where students build their team working abilities. This provides an opportunity to collaborate across cultures and develop global communication skills. GBU offers up to 3 exchange opportunities where students can spend a semester abroad, with some destinations exclusive to GBU students. This is an immersive experience that provides firsthand exposure to a foreign study and business environment. Furthermore, GBU students can develop their language proficiency by studying a foreign language related to global business, like Spanish, French, Mandarin and Japanese etc. Industry practitioners are often invited to lectures to share their international working experience for multinational companies for students to gain updated market practices. These types of exposure help prepare students for a successful global career path.
